My 10 Reasons Why Kanye Should have Interrupted Taylor Swift

kanye interrupts

Now we all know the reasons why Kanye should not have interrupted Taylor Swift @ the VMA’s, but I was shocked to see no one take up for Yeezy. Yes it was rude, ungracious, a bit ghetto for homeboi to interrupt her speech like that, but hey who really cares about all that? lol. Let’s get into the list…

10. To Make The VMA’s relevant again. Honestly who really has cared about the VMA’s since Lil Kim came out with a purple pasty on her titty?????? I know I sure haven’t!

9. To get Taylor Swift back for the way She threw that Jonas Brother under the bus.  Don’t know which one. But she did it on Oprah! Karma is a mofo lmao

8. With Jay’s whole new let’s get off the soft autotune sh*t and wear all black approach. It influenced Kanye to get gully. He will no longer be the heartbroken but the heartbreaker! Taylor keep your love Lockdown, you loooose.

7. The Oscars.  The first Black Woman to win the award was Halle Berry in 2001 for her role in Monsters Ball. You meaning to tell me that was it in like a hundred damn years of the thing?? Black entertainers especially Black Women have been slighted by many awards and is overdue that people start speaking up about that. Real talk.

6. Amber Rose. When you have a girl that looks that good with a BALDamber rose shades head, you pretty much can do what you want. Let’s be honest. If he shows up with Mo’nique he probably wouldn’t have the self-esteem allotted to do something that ballsy. You show up with Amber Rose, Impossible is Nothing!!!! Lol

5. To let the rest of the world give two  F*cks about Taylor Swift….. B4 you go getting all sentimental and getting your fruit of the looms in a bunch hear me out. I would be the first to admit she has great talent, she sings, plays instruments and writes music. I personally don’t dig her sound. But… Kanye exposed her to a whole new audience of people who she was irrelevant to, and if she has any staying power, this incident will only help her in the long run, so she should honestly be thanking YeezY!!!!

MTV’s “Hottest” Emcees?

Posted in Uncategorized on October 14, 2009 by problakem

mtv_hottest_mc_2009

MTV is back with their hottest Emcees in the game list. Every year there is some sort of controversy on who makes the list and who doesn’t and this year is no exception.

Lets be clear, this list is for commercial/mainstream artist who are signed to big labels and  tour constantly. I’ll start reviewing the list With Jay-Z coming in @ the top spot, it shows that Uncle Hovie Still got it! Lmao this guy is unbelievable.  I mean the man just keeps making history over and over. Props.

Wayne comes in second, which I mean lets be serious, if he has an album out he’s probably number one. He’s All over the radio/hood/clubs, and then signed the hottest emcee to his Young Money Imprint. Helluva year. Which brings me to Mr. Degrassi himself, Drizzy Drake.

Who could’ve predicted that an actor would have the game in frenzy over a mixtape. Congrats to duke for making a big impact on the game. I do think a lot of his appeal does have to do with his singing, so should that count for being a hot emcee? I dunno, I don’t make the list dun dun lol.

My Qualm with the D.O.A record

Let me preface this Blog/Rant off by stating that I am a huge Jay fan, have been for a minute. He has at least three classic albums to his catalog and might add a fourth with BP3. Legendary Status. That is part of the reasoning that I have a problem with this D.O.A record.

Is it true that autotune is a copout for some people who have zero talent? YES. Is it true that it has become annoying as all hell to constantly hear on the radio? YES. Is it used by some people who are d*ck riding followers? Once again, YES. With that being the case, any trend that is not worthy of staying, will be gone. Not because an artist says so, but because the consumer will move on, that’s why it is called a trend; here today gone tomorrow.

Jay-Z has earned his place in hip hop and for the record D.O.A is a dope hip hop track (NO I.D. went in on that beat Chi Town Waddup). But I do have a problem with it. I have a problem because he is stepping on the unsigned artists, or the signed artist who has a slave deal. Don’t think so? Well let me explain….
