Relief for Haiti

Haiti ’s earthquake is a disaster of epic proportions. I myself am stunned at the staggering potential numbers of loss lives and wounded. It is hard to fathom what they are going through and even more so why this had to happen. But we as people can’t just sit around and ask why. We must be proactive and help the best we can.

I don’t know about some of the other texts to help Haiti, and I would hate to think that someone would try to scam off of this tragedy but nowadays you can never be too certain about anything. With that being the case, I would recommend anyone who wants to help or donate anything to Haiti that they do it through these two outlets.

You can text HAITI to 90999 and that is to the Red Cross and you would be donating ten dollars or you can text YELE to 501501 and that is to the Haitian activist group Yele Haiti . Even if you don’t have it right now, keep it in mind because they will be needing support for a long time to come.
